Cave Man is monster #154 from Series 6 The figurine potrays a Hairy hunchbacked hominid wielding a big green club
Homo neanderthalensis AKA Neanderthals were a species of Hominids that lived during the Pleistocene period a good few thousand years ago. Appearance wise Neanderthals would have looked similar to humans but with larger foreheads a stockier build and a shorter stature. Contrary to popular belief and what the figure displays Neanderthals were not hunchbacked and would have had a similar posture to modern day humans. Neanderthals died out 40.000 years ago with the cause of there extinction still being unknown, but the most popular theory is that they interbred with humans so much that eventually all pure neanderthals died out leaving only the hybrids. Nearly everyone of Europeon descent has Neanderthal DNA
