Monster in My Pocket: The Quest[]

Origin[]

The Mad Scientist is based off the titular character in Robert Louis Stevenson's novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In the story, Dr. Henry Jekyll created a potion that brings out his evil alter ego, Mr. Edward Hyde, whenever he drinks it as a way to isolate his evil parts of his personality. Unfortunately, Jekyll enjoyed being Hyde, indulging in dark behavior he would never do as himself, so much so that he became his alter ego every chance he got.

Eventually, Mr. Hyde's personality grew stronger and began to come out of Dr. Jekyll even when he hasn't drank the potion. Jekyll tried to make a new potion that would control Hyde, but the potion failed. Faced with the possibility that Hyde would take over his personality completely, Jekyll decided to take action. He writes a letter confessing all the crimes he's done as Mr. Hyde and commits suicide so that Hyde would never harm anyone again.
