Series 4, marketed as the Super Scary series, consists of 24 new monster figures which are slightly larger than the originals. The series was released in 1992.
History[]
Unlike previous series, each figure features multiple colors rather than one solid color. However, some unpainted variants can be found that closer resemble the monsters of the first three series. These unpainted versions were only available in the U.K. as giveaways in cereal boxes.
Six 100-point monsters were made from glow-in-the-dark yellow or green rubber, distinguishing them from the lower value monsters.
Several of the monsters were renamed during British re-releases, and Hanuman was removed from the series altogether.
