Vampire is the primary antagonist for the TV special Monster in My Pocket: The Big Scream.
History[]
Under unknown circumstances, Vampire had been captured by Dr. Henry Davenport and his allies and placed into a prison on Monster Mountain. However, Vampire escaped from his imprisonment after a plot to shrink himself had gone awry and caused the entire mountain to shrink instead. Strong winds then blew Monster Mountain to Los Angeles, California, where Vampire allied himself with Medusa and Swamp Beast. Their size, however, kept them from causing the havoc they craved, and even a simple stray dog had no fear for the one-inch villains.
Vampire learned that he and his cohorts were able to return to their former size after hearing an actress scream during a drive-in movie. Confident that he was now able to defeat Dr. Davenport's team, Vampire transformed into a bat and flew to Carrie Raven's house. There, the monsters captured Carrie and planned to enslave her. Just as Vampire went to hypnotize the young girl, the trio of villains shrank once again. Frustrated, Vampire decided to track down Raye-Faye, the actress from the film that allowed them to grow earlier.
Dr. Davenport, Wolfmon, Big Ed, and the Invisible Man quickly rescued Carrie and discovered Vampire's scheme.
Meanwhile, Raye-Faye seemed unfazed at Vampire and his allies, who deceived her into thinking they wanted an autograph. Vampire attempted to startle Raye-Faye with a bite, but she slapped him away. As the heroes arrived, the two groups started to battle. Carrie accidentally knocked the film on, allowing the evil monsters to grow. They quickly defeat the heroes, but Carrie tricks the hypnotized dog into believing she was Vampire. This distracted Vampire and the others long enough for Dr. Davenport to reverse the film reel, causing the evil monsters to shrink once again. The trio then fled from Raye-Faye's house to avoid capture.
Powers and abilities[]
Vampire had several abilities often associated with vampires in popular culture. He had the ability to transform into a bat which enabled him to fly short distances. He also used a ring of hypnotism which he used to mind-control his victims. However, the ring was unable to work when Vampire was miniaturized.
Unlike many legends of vampires, Vampire was not weakened by garlic.
